I recently picked up a 2 ounce bottle of Glossy accents at AC Moore and I just love it!!! It’s a 3-D clear gloss medium that I’m using to add dimension to scrapbook layouts, greeting cards, and envelopes. It has a fine tip which allows you to be precise in your placement of it. I’ve used it over a stamped image which was colored in with colored pencils and the result looked like a puffy sticker! It works over gel pens as well and can make a small dot look like a glass bead. You gotta try it!

This evening I attended the grand opening for Talk, Paper, Scissors - a new paper craft store/studio. What an experience! I was greeted by warm and friendly staff who welcomed me to the grand opening. Next, I was oriented to the layout of the store and invited to get food and drink (including beer and wine and a chocolate fountain). Who could ask for more? Now back to the store and studio. The store was bright, new, and organized. There is a great classroom, which reminded me of an inviting dining room, a small retail shop area, and a very, very large open studio with tons of supplies to be used by those who pay the studio fee ($8/day). There are cutters, scissors, punches, crimpers, embossing supplies, templates, stamps, books, a computer and printer, and finally, a Cricut - all of which are available for anyone to use in the studio. They carry Sweetwater, Bazzill, CratePaper, BoBunny, and Paper Salon products. Their class list is also quite impressive and unique. If you are looking for a new shop with an inspiring quality and great products, visit Talk, Paper, Scissors. Maybe I’ll see you there sometime.

As I sit here trying to write my first blog entry, my almost 3 year-old is saying “Excuse me mommy! Can I work with you?” She is determined to “help” by pressing “buttons.” So 2 here i 31 (forgive the random numbers, but that’s her contribution) go. I’m the mother of an incredible little girl and have been married for almost 10 years to my best friend from graduate school. Since the birth of my daughter, I’ve been obsessed about journalling all about her, for fear of forgetting that day she said, “you stink.” So, you can imagine how excited I am to have the ability to write anytime I have a fleeting thought or sudden memory. Speaking of memories, I am addicted to scrapbooking and quickly getting hooked on cardmaking as well. I collected supplies for years prior to having Brenna but only really started scrapbooking after she was born. Now, almost 3 years after beginning, I have multiple albums going and see no end in sight!
